Is Dubli using BOTS as bidders?
Yesterday I showed you the weird long-number "successful bidder" names as they appear on the Dubli-EU site.
Today I'll show you that many more similar strange numerical "successful bidder" names also appear on the Dubli-US site.
They can be checked when looking at the completed Unique Bid or Xpress auctions at:
http://us.dubli.com/index.php?cid=unique-bid.ended
and
http://us.dubli.com/index.php?cid=xpress.ended
Again I repeat that (in my opinion) no 'regular' person would choose such long difficult-to-remember numbers as a user name. Maybe some very special people with some very special kind of 'numerical mental twitch' would do this, yes ... but I can't imagine why so many of these very special people would register on Dubli ... both in Europe and North America...
So, if we can agree that these weird long-number user names most probably don't represent real persons, then what do they represent, most probably?
Are these "bots", automated software 'entities' that participate in the biddings to either try and persuade genuine bidders to spend more credits? Or to artificially boast the "successful winner" numbers, or the visitor numbers/hits, or what?
Is Dubli using BOTS as bidders? Is this probable?
I don't know, but it sure looks strange:
